நேற்று இரவு தூங்க போகும் முன் கதை நேரம். வானதி இது வரை பிரகலாதன் கதை கேட்டதில்லை என அந்த கதை சொல்லிக் கொண்டிருந்தேன்.
நரசிம்ம அவதாரம் எடுத்து இரண்யகசிபுவை நகத்தால் கிழித்து கொன்றுவிடுகிறார். அப்போது ஏன் நரசிம்ம அவதாரம் என்று சொல்லி கொண்டிருக்கிறேன். மனிதனும் இல்லாமல் மிருகமும் இல்லாமல் ஒரு அவதாரம் எடுத்தார் என்று சொல்லி கொண்டிருந்தேன்.
"இதுக்கு பதிலா அவர் பிள்ளையாரை அனுப்பி இருக்கலாமே? அவருக்கும் தலை யானைத்தலை, மனித உடல்தானே?" என்பது வானதியின் கேள்வி. 'ஙே' என்று முழித்தேன்.

Yesterday, took the kids out for lunch as J was not feeling super and needed some rest. So we ended up in The Haven Sampoorna, which by the way is one of the favorite restaurants of Sibi. It was always a lot of fun being with the kids and spent some quality time with them.
The kids had a blast and I had a modest meal and we ended it with a round of desserts. The lighted mocktail, Shirley Temple, was very good (and the 'light' was fun to watch, as well). And Vanathy insisted on a couple of scoops of strawberry ice cream.
I tried reasoning with her to have one scoop as she will not be able to complete. As always, she won the day and two scoops came. She finished the first scoop and was playing with the second.
She looks up to me and says "dadu, is this the punishment for Kiki's greediness?". I could not help laughing and told her to leave it if she cannot finish it and make sure to order only one scoop hence forward.

Two days back, while at work, got a call from Vanathy. She was sobbing and in between there were words coming in. She was asking me to uninstall the 'Dinorama' game she has been playing for some time in the iPad.
I asked her what was the problem. She ran out of the 'Dinorama money' and so one of the dinosaur she is supposed to be caring for ran away. She do not want all her dinosaurs to run away as well. So I told her to hold on so that I can come in the night and will play for her.
After reading about the dinosaur egg in one of the little encyclopedia's she has, she got obsessed with dinosaurs for some time now. She asked me how the fossils are formed, how they are found, who found it and what happens to the dino chicks in the eggs, so on and so forth. So I taught her how to search Wikipedia and read about stuff. Though she uses it to see pictures of dinosaurs and much more, I downloaded this game since she showed interest in dinosaurs.
So after coming home in the night, I played for her and raked up some money and overall restored sanity in the Dinorama world. Now she has completed the game and still plays whenever she can.
